Style 29: Dot Torture Lite (25 Rounds) Training Drill
Dot Torture is a comprehensive marksmanship drill that is easy to set up. This target has ten numbered 2" dots. Start at a distance of three yards. Try to shoot the whole drill without a miss. As your skills improve, begin to increase distance or decrease time. For instance, try to finish the entire drill in under five minutes while maintaining accuracy. Aim for a perfect score of 25.
Dot 1 - Draw and fire one string of 2 rounds for best group, total 2 rounds.
Dot 2 - Draw and fire 1 shot, holster and repeat X3, total 3 rounds.
Dots 3&4 - Draw and fire 1 shot on #3, then 1 shot on #4, holster and repeat X2, total 4 rounds.
Dot 5 - Draw and fire string of 2 rounds, strong hand only, repeat X2, total 4 rounds.
Dots 6&7 - Draw and fire 1 shot on #6, then 1 on #7, holster, repeat X2, total 4 rounds.
Dot 8 - From ready or retention, fire 2 shots, weak hand only, repeat X2 total 4 rounds.
Dots 9&10 - Draw and fire 1 shot on #9, speed reload, fire 1 shot on #10, holster and repeat X2, total 4 rounds.
Score only shots that are completely inside each circle.
